United India Insurance Motor Policy & Variants

1] Liability-only Policy

  • United India indemnifies the insured in the event of an accident caused by or arising out of his/her car anywhere in India against all sums (costs/expenses and legal liabilities in respect of the death/bodily injury or damages to third-party property).
  • Also covers costs/expenses incurred with insured individual's written consent.
  • Claimant's cost- as decided by the court.
  • IDV: Insured declared value (sum assured/insured), calculated as producer's selling price of the car (the same type, make, model) minus the depreciation. 5% depreciation rate for age up to 6 months, 15% for 6 months to 1 year, 20% (1 to 2 years), 30% (2 to 3 years), 40% (3 to 4 years), 50% (4 to 5 years) and as agreed between the insurer and the insured individual for age above 5 years.
  • Includes a personal accident cover for the owner-driver for a specific amount. Pays 100% compensation in the event of death/loss of two limbs/vision in both eyes/one limb and vision in one eye and permanent total dismemberment. 50% in the event of loss of only one limb/vision in only one eye.

2] Package Policy

  • Covers losses/damages to your car and/or accessories due to accidental, external means, fire self-ignition lightning, burglary, housebreaking, theft, terrorist activity, riot, strike, malicious damage, earthquake, flood, cyclone, inundation, while in transit by rail/road/air, elevator/lift and inland waterways or landslide.
  • If your car needs repairs, the cover (at additional cost and specific limit) will extend to transporting it to the nearest repair centre and addressing immediate requirements.
