Hero Splendor Plus Insurance: Add-On Covers

Zero Depreciation Cover: Depreciation is applicable to your Splendor Plus’s metal, fibreglass, and plastic parts. On repairs/replacement claims, the depreciation cost has to be borne by you. With this cover included in your policy, you will become eligible for full reimbursement.

Engine & Gear Protection Cover: If you buy a standard policy, you may not get coverage for damages caused to the engine and gearbox. You need to include this add-on to your policy for protecting your bike’s engine and gearbox.

Invoice Protection Cover: This add-on, if included in your Splendor Plus’s insurance policy, ensures that the claim settlement amount is not as per the current market value or IDV of your bike if it is stolen or damaged completely. You will be paid as much as the invoice value of your bike.

Roadside Breakdown Assistance Cover: If you do not want to get stranded somewhere on the road due to an empty fuel tank, oil leakage, a flat tyre, and/or an electrical/mechanical breakdown, you need to opt for this add-on in your Splendor Plus insurance policy.

Hero Splendor Plus Insurance: FAQs

Q1. Are my co-passengers covered under my Splendor Plus insurance policy?

No, co-passengers are not covered under your policy. The personal accident cover offered by the third-party liability and comprehensive insurance policies is applicable only to the rider or policyholder. You need to buy a personal accident add-on to protect your co-passenger.

Q2. Do two-wheeler insurance policy premiums quoted by insurance companies remain the same?

The IRDAI decides the premium rates when it comes to third-party liability policies based on the engine capacity of the vehicle. Therefore, premium rates applicable for third-party liability coverage remain the same across insurance companies. However, the premium rates applicable for comprehensive insurance policies often vary from one insurer to another because of the varied factors they consider when determining the premium.

Q3. What does the Insured Declared Value mean?

The Insured Declared Value or IDV is the maximum reimbursement you can receive if your vehicle is stolen or suffers a constructive total loss.

Q4. What should I do to avail the No Claim Bonus?

You will automatically become eligible for the benefit if you don’t file any claims during the policy period.
