In India, numbers aren’t just digits, they hold deeper meanings, rooted in ancient beliefs in numerology and astrology. Many people believe that numbers carry unique vibrations and energies that can influence one’s destiny, and selecting the right number for a vehicle’s license plate can be an impactful decision.
According to these beliefs, a well-chosen number plate can attract good fortune, prosperity, and positive energy, enhancing the owner’s luck and overall growth. This blog post will guide you on how to get a fancy number from the RTO for your car or bike.
Obtaining a fancy or personalized number plate for your car or bike is a unique process, quite different from the standard registration number automatically assigned during vehicle purchase. If you’re looking to choose a specific number, you’ll need to participate in an e-auction.
This auction is hosted online on the official Parivahan website, where interested buyers can bid for their preferred numbers. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you navigate the bidding process and secure the number of your choice for your car or bike.
Start by visiting the official fancy number portal at https://fancy.parivahan.gov.in/. Sign up by entering your state, name, email ID, and mobile number. Next, you’ll be asked to verify both your email and mobile number using OTPs sent to each. Complete the captcha verification to finalize your registration.
Once registered, log in to your account on the portal. From the main menu, look for the "Number Selection" option and click on it to proceed with the selection process.
You’ll now be prompted to enter details, including the RTO office, vehicle type, vehicle category, and the preferred number series.
Look up your desired number and check its availability. If it’s open for direct purchase, you can secure it by completing the payment directly.
If your preferred number is reserved or up for auction, you can place a bid to compete for it. Enter your bid amount, and you’ll be registered as a participant in the auction.
After the auction concludes, check the results. If your bid wins, complete the payment to finalize your number. If you lose, your initial payment will be refunded.
Once your number is secured, print the allotment letter from the portal. This document serves as confirmation and can be kept for future reference.
