The FASTag Annual pass plan will be implemented starting from 15th August 2025.
FASTag Pass is priced at 3000 annually.
FATSag pass is only applicable to non-commercial private vehicles such as cars, jeeps, and vans.
The annual FASTag pass is valid for either 1 year or up to a maximum of 200 trips, whichever comes first.

Rising toll tax prices, which are unaffordable to the common car owners, have always been a point of contention. But now, to put an end to this controversy, the government has come up with a convenient rule. People can get a 50% discount on toll tax under the FASTag New Policy 2025.
The New Policy centers around the launch of the Annual FASTag Pass. The objective of this scheme is to make toll collection more convenient at tolls.
Recently, news of relief has come for the people travelling on the highway.
According to the declaration from the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, Shri. Nitin Gadkari, the implementation of the annual FASTag pass will start from 15th August 2025.
Travelling on roadways necessitates an administration charge or levy for crossing that road. It is mandatory to pay this fee while coming and going on that route. By the new rules, you can receive an Annual Toll pass worth Rs. 3,000. One lump sum amount is a prepaid subscription scheme.
NHAI crafted a plan for private light motor vehicles. Travellers who habitually travel on a particular toll plaza will benefit from this rule.
The FASTag annual toll pass will have a validity of 1 year or 200 trips, depending on which milestone gets completed first. On open highways, each single toll crossing will get counted as 1 trip, while on closed highways like the Mumbai-Delhi expressway entry-exit round will get counted as 1 trip.
Owing to the new directive, people would get a reduction in toll tax. Plus, they will travel unlimitedly for a whole year with just Rs. 3000. With this, travelling on the National Highway will undoubtedly be well timed. Travel to express and state express streets would also be a toll-free journey if you have access to an Annual Toll Pass.
Non-commercial private vehicle owners can apply for an annual toll pass from the Rajmarg Yatra App or can visit the official websites of NHAI or MoRTH.
New annual pass allows private commuters to travel a limitless distance for 365 days or up to 200 trips on national highways.
The annual FASTag pass, priced at ₹3000, allows up to 200 crossings per year. Considering the average toll per crossing is ₹50, the total cost without the pass would be around ₹10,000. The annual pass can help save up to ₹7000 per year.
Annual pass plan facilitates efficient, faster, and halt-free travel by eradicating the hassle of frequent FASTag recharges.
Stopping at the toll plaza and paying the toll was a reason for the traffic jam. Also, it lets the vehicles use more fuel while they wait for the toll. Annual Toll Pass puts this process back and becomes an environmentally friendly option.
Uncomplicated steps are involved in applying for the Annual Toll Pass. Let’s probe it-
Go via the official NHAI or FASTag web portal or toll plaza office.
Input the vehicle number that you drive and the registered mobile number
Pick the toll plaza that is applicable.
Proceed with the payment of Rs. 3000 with a UPI app, card, or net banking.
